Holiday in Aviemore - a Guide : Aviemore for the great outdoors : booking system by propertyrentalsoftware.com
Aviemore is located in the heart of the Scottish Highlands in the Cairngorm
National Park. It has long been one of the best UK holiday destinations –
particularly for those interested in the outdoors, from skiing to hillwalking,
from snowboarding to mountain.hiking.
All these opportunities still exist of course, but sustained investment over
the last 20 years have added a great deal to Aviemore – particularly for
families.
The Landmark Forest Theme Park offers an incredible range of activities.
It has entertainment for all ages from small children to thrill seeking
teenagers and adults. Landmark has enough on offer to sustain several visits.
Another interesting day can be spent going back in time with a trip on the
Strathspey Steam Railway. Alternatively make the short journey to Kingussie
where the Highland Wildlife Park and the Highland Folk Museum can be found.
The Rothiemurchus Estate, a very special place, has also developed
numerous pursuits of interest to tourists. From fishing, quad biking, dog
sledding to clay pigeon shooting and many others.
Loch Morlich is the place to go if watersports are what you desire. The loch has sailing, windsurfing and kayaking to offer. All
equipment can be hired and lessons for the uninitiated can easily be arranged.
Scotland of course is widely known as the ‘home of golf’ and the Aviemore area will not disappoint holidaymakers in this respect
either. There are a number of courses on the doorstep ,a small snapshot of which includes the unique James Braid designed
Boat of Garten , Harry Vardon’s Kingussie and right up to date with recently opened Spey Valley course which, at 7200 yards,
is a true championship challenge.
There are too many ways to relax or excite or enjoy yourself in the Aviemore area to detail them further here. Please take a look
